Half a live recording (tracks 1-5) performed at the 'Live Theatre' in Newcastle, DonkyOaty is a mixed bag of up beat tracks to get you moving around the room and down tempo grooves to get you in to a chilled mood at the end.
All the tracks on this album are sample based and flow with a taught precision to detail without ever chocking the life out of the music. To keep a fresh edge, the tracks are put together in a short a time frame as possible (ususally 2 days max, but 'one day wonders are the norm') and are mixed in one take - direct to disc. No other post-processing is involved, so alot of time is spent creating a loose 'band-like' feel to the recordings.
Kalimari goes down a strom live and this album is testament to this as the most popular CD-R on the NoVinyl roster...
