Information:
Music Performance System is the results of an approach to recording based on spontaneity and outside influence.
Many of the tracks elements are live 'sounds' fed into the mix from outside the studio while the tracks are being captured. These sounds also influence the tone, pitch or rhytmn of the analogue tone modules, which in turn may be influencing other devices...
Combined with feed back and tape loops, this creates a very tense and fragile song structure which can inplode of expand into complete distortion depending on many cahnce factors.
Some of the these tracks are excerpts or 'high lights' if you like, of longer (up to 2 hrs) improvisations captured at many different locations across the UK, London, Nottingham, Devon and Cornwall. Most have been performed in the last 10 years, so this is very much edited highlights... Some of which have gone on (in one form or another) to be incorporated into other performance recordings, either live or at post production.
